You have a trans throttle valve that connects to the throttle body to engage the shifts.

Normally I 'd call you a noob and move on, but then you already know that, don't you?

Just joshing ya a bit, we all have to start somewhere. Welcome to DF!

I was thinking of doing the same. Take a throttle body and port and polish it. But is it worth it? Are you getting better MPG's? what are the benifits? Would you do it over if you had the chance or is it a waste of time? I've been wanting to do that but haven't yet. Just need ANY reason to work on my rig. Thanks

But is it worth it? = yes

Are you getting better MPG's? = not sure, it's winter time. like when i put it on it was 50 degs and today in was 18

what are the benifits? = better throttle response, and less throttle to take off,(so that maybe on mpg answer)

Would you do it over if you had the chance or is it a waste of time? = i would do it all over again, plus i learnt form it and now you guy are to.

*** but do not think your going to gain alot, but you can tell if your find tuned with your truck****

Right on. thanks! Now allow me to ask a semi-stupid question. Is there a differents in the 5.9L throttle bodies versus the 5.2L? I heard somewhere (I forget where) that the bore size was a bit bigger in the 5.9's.
