nope, form what i been told they are all the same.

and why i belive this is because sum places have the same part # on both and if the 5.9 tb was bigger all of us 5.2 guy would just go out and buy 5.9tb..lol

going to try my best, my trans problem only happens when shifting at 2000rpms or less with the poor man tb it would do it all the time, so no to what i does, so form take off 1st gear it will shift into 2nd it 1600rpms then like shift into second again almost like its double shifting this all happens with in a sec on it shifting into 2nd gear the frist time.... so out of 1st gear at 1600(now in2nd) drop down to 1500(we are in 2nd) then jumps back up to 1600 then back to 1500 like it shifting twice..... also the shifts are hard both times

now with the stock one put back on it harder to get it to shift werid, but when it does the shifts are all so hard...

hope this makes cents

i could b wrong but somthin simalier happened to me thats just how it starts my snap ring that holds my clutches together broke (common for a dodge) and it started doing what u descriped then my revers went out the the truck over a few months slowly started slippin more and more till it stopt all together. when the revers went out i had it check he said that snap ring was in the bottem of the pan and said only way to fix is rebiuld or drive it till it quites. i kinda drove mine hard but i got 3 to 4 months out of it befor i had to rebuild but have that snap ring checked all u got to do to check it is pull the pan off the trany hope this helps u
