Take drill and drill a hole in the location you are installing the O2 ( measure the correct location) weld that on and you have an O2 bung. I just did mine last week after replacing the straight pipe than ran between the cat and the tail pipes. Total cost $7 which included the welding. I do have a question what size is the cat AIM was referring to? Name of it?
I've heard of the fix before, it was mentioned as well in my thread I posted a few days ago when I threw a code. Honestly I don't know if it will pass visual inspection for my state which is why im very hesitant on doing it. Aim was talking about the 99xxx series cat's btw.

Your state inspects an O2 sensor bung? I thought Russia wasn't in power any more? And is that the name of the cat 99xxx?

I kinda disapointed with the forum a bit since so many people recommend them, but then at the same time they get a check engine light for it down the line. I didn't find out till the other day just how many there were that had this problem. Aim has found a bigger cat, but its still a thorn in my side knowing that I just dropped $140. Well the new cat costs around $130 local + I need pipe to run from the cat to the muffler since the stock pipe is very fragile. Add in the o2 bung, install, etc.. Looking at $200 minimum I fear. I should have just left the perfectly good stock cat still in the truck. Lesson Learned!
I spent 200 bucks on my cat only 'cause I live in Cali. I guess since there built to higher standards, there tougher. But it's worked flawless for me. but to each his own.

Default PCM and Oil Pressure?

I recently rebuilt the engine in my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7L V8, can the PCM not being reset cause the oil presure to bottom out at a warm idle?

More likely a bad sender, or....... too large of clearances on the bearings.

Is it seated properly on the TB with the gasket installed? That could be the sucking noise. Did you have the popping problem before installing the intake?

I suppose you could start by cleaning the TB and IAC. Remove the negative battery cable before the procedure.

And while your in there route the wires according to this TSB.
