I know this is far reaching but it does concern a 98 dodge ram 360 with auto... I have installed it in a 66 Belvedere and the ecu is out of some Dodge product that had a 360 as well.. How do I or do i need to flash it... I have heard of shops that will reprogram and eliminate what I dont need and yet get the car up and running. Any help is greatly appreciated

 

What year harness? 98 and up started using the central timer module for some communications.... which makes it complicated to install in anything else.

 

Would this also be done when changing parts in transmission

 

What parts? Certainly wouldn't hurt though.

 

Changed the govenor pressure and sensor. Changed the reverse servo changed the T V cable adjusted bands still no reverse

 

For a quick and dirty check, unplug the 8 pin connector to the trans, and try reverse again. If it still doesn't work, you have a mechanical problem, not electronic.

 

Pulled wire harness off pins came out what part is this to is it the TCM

 

Pins came out of the connector at the trans?

Pretty sure you can get replacement pigtails. That harness is part of the main harness, and comes down from the PCM. (there is no separate TCM on these trucks.)

Did you have reverse with it unplugged?

 

No started truck no reverse

 

That's a mechanical problem. Gonna have to dig into the trans.
