Default Maybe a costly repair

When i shift into reverse it makes a Bang not that load but deff loader than when i go into drive anyone had this start ??? is it a sign of my tranny going? Thanks guys

I would check the U-Joints first. What you've described sounds just like a failing U-Joint, and that's not an expensive repair.

You have a 2wd I assume? Raise the rear end, and get under it and see if you can move the shaft up or down, sideways or rotating left to right while looking at the joints on each end of the shaft. They should not move.

Also check for any seepage in the U-joint cups.

You should be able to climb under there and look to see if any grease is leaking out of the cups. Also you should grab your driveshaft and give it a quick shake near each u-joint. If it moves, then you've got u-joint problems. If it stays still, then your in the clear with those.

Cool Ya i think its my u joint thats making the bang it does make sense Man what a relief I thought it was deff my tranny u guys saved me some worries thanks
