if u go to ture duals, then get an x or h pipe to keep ur lowend and have a place for the o2 sensor

The point is that you have a 5.2 and said that you have a 3" single but didn't loose any bottom end. From the page you pointed me to, you've installed a 2.25" dual input, 2.5" single output cat ... that's why you retained the torque. Even if you had 6" duals after that ... everything has to squeeze though the 2.5" choke point.

i dont have a cat.....the y pipe that i bought was a 2.5 out, but i cut that off to where it fit right inside of the 3" so i dont think its that much of a choke point

Sorry ... thought that little thing was a cat. The 2.25 inputs are the right size for 5.2L duals ... those are your choke points. You can't flow any more than the smallest pipe will allow.

the stock downpipes are only 2" so i even had to adapt them to the y
