Hey Ive been M.I.A for a while but glad to say Im back and just wanted to tell everyone I just did the throttle body mod over the weekend. It was finally warm enough for no garage trash like me to work outside on my truck.
I fired up my Dremel with a couple of cut off wheels and cut away all the restrictive walls on top of the throttle body. (off the truck of course). I then used the sander tip and sanded them all smooth. Then I tookd extra fine auto sandpaper and smoothed them some more. Anyway you get the idea.
Put it all back together fired it up. Just took it for a short drive <2 miles and it definately seemed a little quicker on the throttle and sounded pretty good.
Hopefully I will drive it for 30-40 miles this week to work and see what it can do. Good free mod!! Anyone else have any experience in doing this. What was your results.

Did you find out what the problem with the trans is?

 

i played around with the tv cable and had it fixed but,,, but it still acts funny every now and then maybe 1 once for every 30 slow take offs, only happens when taking off very very slowly, but if i take off and shif 1500-2000rpms range no prpblem and WOT no proplem also... did put the old tb back on and same problem so it wasn't the new poor man tb.

 

Rebulid? Whats with the wheels?
