pulled some more foil off it today, and the damn thing has too many cracks in it to fix.

well you can leave it black, but I dont think having red, chrome and black all on the front end would look right. Hell a color matched grill and an SLT bumper is going to look odd anyway.

I agree...not for your set-up. I was thinking of mine...my truck's silver, and I've tossed around the idea of going with a black grill. I think yours will look good with the color matched grill and chrome bumper.
