Spark plugs really matter?

^^^ Yeah I read something like that, too. The article I read showed a very small gain in performance and mpg...like fractions. Basically, not worth the effort unless you need every single bit out of your engine. I think I may try the Champions next time just to compare them to the Autolites, even though I have no complaints as of yet.

Bosch +2 & +4 are a poor design, I would never install a set. Nothing wrong with the Bosch plats.
Most important thing, make sure the cap/rotor are fresh, wires are good, routed correctly and the plugs are indexed. Any plug Ive ever installed in my Indy, Ive always indexed them. I found both the NGK and Champion the idle was rougher than with either the Bosch plats or Autolite coppers.
I had Bosch Plats in my bone stock 5.9, with bolt ons only, no power adder when it ran a 13.99 et.(Oct/01). Autolite 3923 coppers for the 12.91 et.(0ct/05)
Without indexing the plugs, any comparisons are useless IMHO.

Be sure to check ahead of time if you want the truck plugs. I know when I looked for them before, no one had them in stock. You may have to get a order in for them...
