Coil Spacer Install
Yeah aren't the red skyjacker coils hard to find now? I know the newer ones are supposed to be black. At least all the ones I've seen. I love the red on my truck as well as most but I think black might look better on yours.
Most everything Skyjacker makes now is black, including their springs. They have been fazing out the red since last year. When you order, just verify that they are the black powder coat instead of the red.
You do realize that you probably wont be able to tell the difference between 3" and 3.5" of lift unless you get the tape measure out right? Plus if you go with the 3" coils you know you are safe on your front end parts where as 3.5" is pushing it.
Ok, thanks everyone for their descriptive input; it's great having you guys helping me out. I called summitracing today and dealt with an idiot though. He said just for the front coilsprings and shocks it was $880 lol. He obviously didn't know what he was doing. Would installing coilsprings and shocks be similar if not the same procedure as doing the coilspacers?
Can anybody help me find a link for a 3" skyjacker coilspring and shock? Thanks guys.

IMO do the 2in. coil spacers i did the 2in. and its right at level and when i load up my 4-wheeler it sqauts a little bit. also. if you do the spacers and deside to do a 3in lift later on all you have to do is buy 3in coils and 3in add a leaf and new shocks and whatever else it take and you got a level truck with 3in of lift! good luck job is easy my dad and i did mine in 1.5 hours and used 2 floor jacks and saved a little time that way
Welp, heres the link to there shocks for a Dodge. Although they are quite a bit more expensive, from what I hear (no first hand info) the Bilsteins are well worth the extra coin.

Search around for prices though, you may be able to find better deals. All I did was googled this stuff... you know its not really that hard

01 dodge ram you can get the revtek coil spring spacers and they come in 2 1/2 lift for the front and you will need to get longer shocks for the front. I just bought all new shocks all the way around. I am now in the middle of getting a 3 inch lift form topgun customz. also i spoke with them and they said all there lift kit are under rated (meaning you would get 5 inch springs ) for a 3 inch lift so all there kits will make you truck level and lifted at the same time.
i got mine from tops gun customs. if you go to rough country web site they have the exact same spacers and advertise with top gun customs. BDS 9500 series shocks are good but also pretty pricey. www.BDS-Suspension.com

2.5" coil spacers would be a bit much for his off road package truck, as it is lifted 1.5" already from the factory (and 3-3.5" is the max for stock suspension components).
And the same goes for you... don't plan on installing a 3" suspension kit under your 2.5" coils spacers. You will need to get the control arms, pitman arm, and track bar bracket for a 5" kit.
And who the heck did you talk to from top gun customz to say their kits are "under rated"? That is a joke. A kit rated for 5" typically will lift the front somewhere around 5" and the back a few inch's less to level it. I thinks they's was jerkin' yer chain.
