I put a SJ one on mine, and I could not really tell much difference except for on the highway...less sawing.

I'd say that's my biggest desire; to achieve a safer ride on the highway. If a dual stabilizer kit will tighten things up on the highway with the wider tires and lifted front end, I'm all for it. That's one thing I really take pride in is a smooth operating vehicle on the highway. I want to feel safe when I'm going 65+mph in a big loud truck.

I've never changed one. I have my stock one still. However, usually when I read people talking about it they can't tell a difference between none and a new one. I see no reason to spend a ton of money to upgrade something if you wont be able to tell a difference. Is it worn out or just doesn't look good? If that's the case I'd just paint it.

I do agree the dual ones look good. Although on a truck that's as small as ours I think they might look goofy. I usually see them on big trucks.

You can see if others that have them like them as I've never ran one but I just don't see spending the money on something that doesn't seem to make a big difference. Isn't it just supposed to be a band aid for having other front end problems anyway? Or am I thinking of something else?

i bent mine like that too. Replaced it with a SJ HD one and it seems to be doing its job. Only 50 bucks including shipping on summit racing. Looks cool too

Yeah, that seems to be a common comment about them; that they don't really make a difference. And yes, I agree, I think two might look a little silly on a truck of my height. My truck isn't small by any means, but it also isn't lifted high like it used to be either. I think I'd just like to replace the existing one I have at some point. It'd be a cute little project, and looks pretty simple, just a matter of taking the bolts apart, and putting it back together. I think I'd like to buy a BDS or Monroe one. They seem to have the look I am looking for.

A stabilizer justs masks other steering issues. With the size lift and tires you have, if your having problems that a single steering stabilizer isn't compensating for, then you need to look into the root cause, not a bigger band-aid.

I'm not having any steering issues, but if a new one, or a dual kit will firm the steering up better, I'm all for that. It's not really too much of a big deal to me; just a fun project I'm looking to do if it will improve stock steering. I know I'll be maxing front end components out with the 3" lift coils up front, so I'm just looking ahead.

Oh, then why did you say this:

Sounds like a problem to me.

I guess I didn't relay myself appropriately. It drives like it has 305s, that's all. It has a little less control in the steering wheel with the wider tires than it did with the 285s. I realize my tires are wider then normal, and know that my trucks suspension will be maxed out up front within a week once they coils are installed. I'm not saying that my truck is huge and NEEDS dueling stabilizers; but for it's front end components, it's relatively large. Do you think it's worth investing in a dual kit?

I ran one for about a week, and put the single one back on. I thought the dual was just too intrusive looking, and would probably get torn off easy when I wheel'ed. I didn't notice any difference over my single one. I had 285's on at the time. The single one works fine with my 35's now too. I run a Rancho stabilzer.
