After work today I checked the stoplight switch for continuity. It was fine. I plugged it back in and unplugged the battery for 30 second to reset the RWAL module. When I went to turn the truck on again, sure enough, the light didn't come on again. I drove it around town and it feels okay. I hate the fact that I don't know how it was fixed so to me, I'll still broken. The wires looked solid. Could it be that it just took a little bit longer to reprogram itself?
what's a RWAL?

It seems like, with these trucks and the age they're attaining, the worst case scenario is often the case, so I don't blame you for that.

RWAL = Rear Wheel Anti-Lock ... all Rams have it ... as opposed to Anti-Lock Brake System which is an option. Most ABS lights on are traced to the RWSS (Rear Wheel Speed Sensor) but if it's not that, it could very well be the front wheels (IF the truck has ABS).

It's an arctic whale that's white and has a tusk like a unicorn horn.

Oh, wait, that's a Narwahl.

I have no idea why I'm posting this other than to waste disk space.

RWAL is the rear wheel anti-lock. it's pretty much the rear wheel antilocking system...It's amazing the stuff you learn when your trying to fix your truck, as is the case for me.

Dang, here we go again. So on my way back from Home Depot this after noon, I went to press my brakes (gently as always) and I felt something. It was like a chirp. it didn't affect my braking. After the first time I pressed the brakes a couple more times and nothing. then I tried it again and it happend once. I did a visual inspection of the brake lines for any leaks but everything looked fine. I'm leaning towards the master cylinder. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll check the wheel cylinders to make sure there not leaking. Am I on the right track? Any other suggestions or anything I'm missing?

Where did you feel it? The pedal? The seat of your pants? You FELT a "chirp" or heard one?
