i don't know the dificulty. i do however know when doing eninge up grades and so forth the more you do the more the computer has to be programed and a computer can only do so much. carbs are easier to work with dodges suck on gas anyway so why not

what is your goal for the 300-350 hp. do you want that much hp to tow or just to go fast? either way i'd recommend just getting a 360 and a nv4500 trans or even nv3500 would be fine if you don't do anything too serious too it. then if u need more tq go for 3:90 gears. Its not gonna be 350 hp but it will be a beast

I'd check www.speedomotive.com they got the best prices on stroker kits for the 318.I built a 330 h.p 318 without strokin it pretty cheap but it's carbed.AS for going carb i don't know bout your year but i did it to a 93 which is t.b.i. do a search on ********* a couple people there have done it I'd stick with the 318 everybody told me to go with a 360 now when i tell em it's a 318 at the track they say noway gotta love it

i dont know about the nv4500 ratios. but my 318 with the nv3500 and 3:55 turns 2500 @ 85. and i have taken it on 20 hr trips. so yes you will be able to drive it on the highway but it depends how loud the exhaust is. i'd guess w/ 3:90's you'd be lookin at 2800 RPM @ 85. if OD is the same as the nv3500

I had the block bored 40, zerodecked, k.b.167 pistons stockrods and crank, arp bolts Then a set of stockcasting 360 heads with 202-168 vavles, from indyheads,i gasketmatched ported em myself a small 484-474 dualpattern cam , But as isaid it was carbed and these up grades won't work with the compu.fuel inject. ect.And your wanna keep all that,So your gonna need to go a differnt route
