Heads are on, and they rock!

As I had suspected, off idle they lost a little low end, (the larger valves reduce velocity when they are partially open and slowly filling the CC). But jump on it, and it pins me to the seat and just keeps pulling all the way up to the shift at 5200rpms.

I was also running really rich at WOT, like 11.8-12.0 A/F. (Max power is around 13.2 but can ping on hot days, 12.6 is a good safety point). Not sure why that was as it was the same tune as the old heads, unless I fixed an exhaust leak that I didn't realize I had. The bigger valves should have allowed more air into the chamber and leaned it out if anything at WOT. Anyway, I asked Hemifever to write me a new tune for the overly rich WOT and told him about the low end loss. He fixed me right up with a killer tune that pulls even harder than the first.
Hemifever is the man!

The lower gears should take some of the pressure off the trans and hopefully the Sonnax parts I put in help hold the thing together a bit. Just not sure how much HP and TQ the stock tranny is rated to take.

Since were on the subject of HP. IM going to be throwing in a larger cam soon, was thinking about the 210x. But would this be an issue with the 1.7 RR?

Might have piston to valve clearance issues there. Ask Marty to be sure.

no, I mean the pistons and valves could slap into each other in the combustion chamber if there is not adequate P to V clearance. If that happens, you'll have a very bad day.
