Think this package will make 350 hp?
On a 96 5.9
- MDS distributor, accel cap, rotor, wires, plugs
- fastman 52 mm throttle body
- cold air intake
- dodge R/T heads
- comp cam
- harland sharp roller rockers
- gibson shorty headers
- magnaflow cat
- flowmaster exhaust
I was thinking about 350 hp and 400 lb ft?
What do you think the exact same stuff on a 318 would produce?

First, MSD distributors do not fit our trucks, You might think about a bigger throttle body, like his 55mm since you are doing a cam. Speaking of cams, how big of a cam are you thinking? Which r/t heads are you getting? Are you doing any port work on them? Long tube headers do help with low end torque. I think you could be close if you select the right parts. By the way your going to want to pick up an sct tuner to make your combo work. Just my 0.02

Thanks, ya i just threw that list together real quick, i know cheap and fast dont go hand and hand, but i was thinking $3k would get me to 350 reliable HP
That'll be the best bang for the buck as far as power goes, but you'll need a lot of other stuff to make it all work together correctly. Talk with RM_Indy, he knows that stuff more then I. You have an auto trans? If so, i'd worry about it with a supercharged application.

so i guess i have to put another $1500 in the tranny, also i have 3.5 gears so will have to switch those out, what are the best gears for speed?
If your going to run a supercharger, your going to need to worry about your entire engine. Dont push more than 7psi, along with what silver said, youll have to worry about your tranny. If you havent rebuilt it yet then you might as well invest in a completely new tranny for your needs. Dr. Evil does a pretty good job. Had them work on mine. What cam your running will also put some numbers down for you, do you know what cam your thinking of?
Also, if your going for speed all that horsepower means nothing if it doesnt hit the ground, so along with tranny. The other drivetrain components will need to be redone.
