clicking noise

Single cardan joints. They shouldn't clank at all. How much torque can you put on them by hand compared to the forces applied when the truck is in motion? That's what's clacking.

I've changed them myself, so it's possible....sure isn't fun though.

I recently replaced one of my front axle U-joints. I thought it was fairly simple and pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the link.Any way to tell if maybe its the ball joints? Doesnt make any noise on a dirt road, only when turning.
