Power window issues and it is not switch..
Please forgive me if it has been posted before. I have searched and searched but cannot find similar issue. If someone can direct me to the link that would be great. Thanks again.
Here is the issue i have a 98 Ram 1500. The driver side Power window will not go down but for about 3 inches. Once it get to that point the front of the window contiinues to go down and the rear stops. I took panel off last night and there seems nothing in the way, or stopping it from going down.
The switch works fine it will actualy bring the window down furhter but i stop it at about 3 in. because it looks like something is about to brake. It also has scratched my tent a little.
I cleaned the tracks and still no luck. The rollers look to all be in one piece. I am stumped. thanks for all your help

If the motor will roll the window down and then start to hang up, then I would guess there is something in your track or your track is pinched. I would roll the window down to where it starts to grab and then double check the back track for something hanging it up.
I am pretty sure that there is just a bar in there on a track that connects to the motor that controls the up-down motion and I don't see how that could cause the window to come down at an angle.

Im with you on the track it has to be that. i checked it for debris but didnt check to see if it was pinched... ill check that tonight. It seemed so simple to fix. Just not a lot of room to get to what i need to when i take panel off. Thaks for your help. ill keep posted if i figure it out.
my only other thought is it could be in the arms that move it up and down. i just didnt want to remove the whole assembly if all it was, was something in the track.
and again thank you
