roller rockers offer less drag on the engine. you can also get a higher valve lift for a slight increase in performance. win win on all levels so long as you don't get valve kiss on the piston. I want to put them on my 350 v8 boat motor this winter. Turning 3500rpms all the time will benifit from the lower friction of roller rockers.

make sure you research if the valve covers need to be taller to accommodate those rockers.

I am about to do a list of repairs under the hood- Radiator, Plenum, thermostat, water pump, fan clutch, and Cat gut. Do you have a part number or link to these rockers. I was also wondering what the other fella asked, could this cause any premature damage to the valve train by running the stock springs? I was always told to have the heads rebuilt when doing something like this. I could see caming it out would certainly call for new springs.

UPDATE- Nevermind. I don't have 350 bucks to spare.

Nice write up, they sure do look perty! Have you noticed any difference with them? I would assume they would be a bit more quiet too? I'm about to do a crate motor swap and will slip those on before it goes into the truck, just curious if it's worth it.

I think they are worth it. I notice more lope at idle. The sweet spot for my truck is about 3500-4000 rpm. can't really tell if it's quieter or not due to my loud muffler.

I noticed the same lope as well I really like it, they say they are worth 3/10ths on the quarter mile and was also told same as adding I I noticed the same thing and love it just makes it sound differnt they say it will drop your quarter mile by 3/10ths

Also was told it is like adding a cam with 0.060 lift. About $300 for the set worth it to me for sure.

just noticed the date of the first post someone went digging

It's only around 0.026 for 5.9s and 0.032 for 5.2s...
