Yeah I have one. My first one a Cobra 38 died as I dropped it in a creek by accident. Well, it fell out of my pocket. I didn't want another Cobra after having a Cobra 29 in my truck. I hated that POS but a buddy gave me this radio for my birthday/christmas present. It was a amazing radio. I loved it and wouldn't have traded it for any of them.

When I had to get a new one I got a Midland as the guy switched and now sells Midlands instead of the Cobra's. I like the Midland quite a bit too. I can't complain. They don't reach near as far as the CB's but they reach a decent ways for a Walkie Talkie. Maybe a mile or so.

The truck one is by far better though if you want to talk to someone that's not sure close but then again I can't carry it into the woods with me. That's why I have both.

I ended up going just getting the $10 magnetized antenna from Walmart. Went out and played in the mud with some friends tonight and it seemed to work pretty well.

I run a 102" whip while out in the desert, but a good fiberglass antenna will serve you well otherwise.

Get the Wilson 1000 or, a Fire-Stick.
Just stop at a T/A or Petro Truck-stop along a interstate
and look thru their gift-shop. Most have a CB-section.

I actually went to T/A to get the cable extension for my antenna. I might look into something else after I order my leveling kit.
