I can appreciate the craftsmanship, but for me, its to out of the way. To each is own. As far as the "investment" is concerned, you'll find out sooner or later that trucks and cars are not investments because you NEVER get your money back. To some, like all of us in this forum, they are a hobby and a passion, but to all, they are a liability.

That's a really clean install, Purpl. If I had a cubby hole, I would consider puting my gauge there. Good work.

well, as far as not getting your money back, if you use your truck for work, as i do on the farm, it can pay you back, take for example, it costs less in fuel for me to go pick up parts, chemicals, seed corn, and other random farm stuffs lol, than it would to have them delivered, and those savings can add up over time and it keeps me working anyway, in which i make money anyway, usually using my truck to get to different fields and what not [gotta love working for my dad lol]

You do...You just have the stupid airbag control thing in there. I bet you could swap a 99-01 airbag thing iin where your power outlet is.

The excution is truely A+, and although the dash position is out of the way, your tranny guage isn't something you should have your eyes glued too unless you're having an issue. I seldom look at mine and it's right in front of me.

I would paint it black unless you're adding some more aluminum to your dash.

Summit racing has thier B&M temp guage instructions online. It's a simple installation unless you don't have the correct tools.

I am not going to paint it black!!!!! I like the aluminum!!!!!

I agree, the tranny gauge is not something that I keep my eyes on all of the time. But it is nice to glance at it when you change the radio stations.

BTW there are not any special tools needed to install a temp gauge.
