Default Going to put $11000 into my truck

So im looking to have a fast daily driver, my truck is a 96 ram 2wd short bed reg. cab with the 5.9 V8, to do what i want to do will cost me $11000, considering i only paid $2500 for my truck in great shape (100k miles), i figure its not to bad, heres what i'd like to do:

20" centerline wheels and tires - $1700
2/4 drop kit - $300
dark window tint - $200
4.10 gears - $1000
trans cooler/upgrades - $800
engine rebuild - $1400
comp cam - $900
harland roller rockers - $400
hooker headers - $400
cold air intake - $250
superchip - $300
fastman throttle body 52mm - $350
flowmaster exhaust - $300
misc. engine parts (plugs, cap, etc)- $300
Srt 10 viper truck seats - $1000
Premium sound system - $800
new interior carpet, headliner - $400
linex bed liner - $400

total - $11,200

Should be a very fast daily driver that will last another 100K no problem, looking for around 330hp and 360 ft. lbs. Considering i will have $13700 into a totally custom, pretty much new truck, that i can drive for the next 5 years easily, it doesnt seem so bad. Im doing all the work myself so that will help cut costs.

thoughts?

So let me get this straight. You are going to spend over three times what your truck books out for?
Personally, I dont think that you will see that kind of power at the wheels, but you might get it at the crank.....
You could have gotten a fairly new ram with the hemi for about the same money...

Go for it. I plan on keeping mine for a hell of a long time too, so I'm going to slowly build it up. Prolly gonna cost me around the same as your setup. I don't really plan on buying a new truck because I don't want any more payments. And if I bought a new truck, I'd be spending a crapload to fix THAT one up the way I want it anyways. So, I see where your getting at... Have fun with it! Lol...

lol, ya pretty much, i love my truck, lots of sentimental value, will probably keep it forever, and im talking crank HP, i personally dont like the way the new rams look, i would think that my truck would be faster then a comparable reg. hemi, i drove a QC hemi with exhaust, wasnt too impressed

Suggestion...
Ditch the seats
ditch the stereo
ditch the new carpet and headliner
Ditch the CAI
Ditch the super chip
Ditch the tint

Get a Blower (that'll put out some real power)
and and SCT tuner or a custom flash.

this may be a novice question but, can i still run the cam and harland roller rockers with a supercharger? That would prob put me around 400 crank hp..?

+1 for the SCT. Custom tunes will work waaaaaay better for the high end stuff you're looking at doing.

I love my Superchips, but I don't plan on putting anywhere near that much money into my truck.

That, and according to Superchips, their tuner will only work with 1998+ 5.2 and 5.9 engines. SCT says that their tuner will work with 1996+. Its an OBD II thing... it technically started in 1996, but 1996 and 1997 were kind of half-a**ed OBD II, 1998 was the first true OBD II year. Not sure why the SCT works and the Superchips doesn't, but thats straight from their respective websites.

I believe (someone correct me if I'm mistaken) the RRs and cam won't have any problem with the supercharger, but I do know that you'll want 1.6RRs with a new cam. 1.7RRs if you don't plan on upgrading your cam.

individually, no youll have not problems. But if you run the cam and 1.7 rr you might have a problem with your valves, not with a supercharger.
