Default Cooper vs Toyo

Thanks Silver Dodge & Cereal Killer for the input. I have no idea what iwhitne is talking about!! I probobly should have said in my original post that I do 97% hiway driving. Problem is, there aren't many tires in the 255/85R16 size. All I've found are the cooper dis s/t, the BFG mt km2, toyo mt, and the toyo M-55. There are 1 or 2 off brands, but these 4 are the top names. Like I've said, the cooper and the toyo are on my short list. I don't 4wheel my truck, because it's the only vehicle I have, don't want to tear up the money getter!! Ya'll have a good one! Any other thought would be apprecited tho. BFOOT.

Well if you don't go wheelin' and most of your time is spent on the highway then Discover ST is the way to go for sure.

On another note if you're looking for a skinnier 33" tire a 285/75/16 is 33x11.5 and there's alot more tires available in that size

That being said the discover ST is an excellent tire.

the Cooper STs are the ****
and as far as not working well in mud, my dads got them on his super duty which weighs in at about 6000 at least
we bombed through a swamp in it, no problem

I'm glad someone picked up on the movie...

anyways... I do about 90% of highway driving... I've had my BFG's a year and put over 50,000 on them... they still have plenty of tread... my next tire for the summer are going to be cheapo Uni-Royal's for wal-mart... I'm going to get another set of rims and have a set of "road" tires for the summer and a set of BFG's for Fall winter and spring.... A buddy of mine had the Toyo's and he ripped them to spread... alot of highway and city driving for his carpentry business.. he's getting the BFG's now... I told him he should get rid of his titan and buy a real truck
