Something to think about... If the codes remain the same in the OBDII read out ( same cyls miss firing) how could that be? To miss fire (3) cyls a common component to all cyl would need to fail intermittently at the same time. I think that rules out most of the stuff, very unlikely that 3 spark plugs or 3 spark wires would fail at same time. Also very unlikley that the cam sensor, crank sensor, TPS, MAF, IAC (dont think IAC is a misfire candidate ) would fail for only those 3 cyls and work fine for the other 5. U might make a case for the disty cap but not the rotor, u also might make a case for 3 fuel injectors but it would be hard to clog 3 on the fuel rail with the other five being ok. also dont see a possibility that the fuel sinc singal could fail only for 3 and not all.

I dont know if I believe the above logic myself, but the next time i get multi misfires my first move will be to disconnect the battery long enough to clear all codes, and see if the same misfires return. This is equivalent to the 3 finger salute on a PC. U might just find a running truck with no CEL or codes... Good luck

Well the truck has a definite miss it feels like it has a radical cam in it so the cyls are definitely misfiring. It does smooth out under acceleration and while driving but when I come to a stop it lopes somewhat. I don't know what the heck is going on but I'm about to shoot thee damn thing and be done with it. I've replaced every gasket, plug, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, IAC, TPS, MAP, cleaned the TB, puilled and cleaned every injector. and the truck will run fine but I let it go to "E" on the tank and all hell breaks loose. I'm going to try the 2 sensors that were mentioned previously and then pull the valve covers to make sure the valve springs are intact. My last option is the heads because I heard that these heads are notorious for cracks. But thanks for the input.
