Ok yesterday while accelerating heavy (floored it) to enter the highway my rpm's went straight to redline. now this occurred after the truck was gaining speed. I mean it felt the truck went into Neutral with the gas pedal floored. I immediately got off of it and then tried it again and it held. Now this happened a few months ago with some "bucking" involved after redline. Anyone ever had this happen and if some what the heck is it? It's to the point where I'm hesitant to get on this truck.
The TV cable is the kickdown cable on the passenger side of the throttle body. It tells the transmission where the throttle is positioned. A loose adjustment clip will cause the shift points to wander and could severely delay upshift at WOT.

is it the thick one at the back of the TB that's all by itself near the fire wall or is it 1 of the 2 that's at the front of the TB
I went to look at it and seems to be in place however, not knowing what I know now, I attempted to remove this cable from the bracket when I removed the fuel rail and had it partially undone before I said screw it and snapped it back into place because it was a beeyatch to take off. I do notice I have some firm shifts and the the transmission that's in there now was not the original. Burned mine up towing it without disenaging the transfer case, anyway I guess this weekend I can fart around with it and try to make some adjustments. Thanks!
