Default High Flow Cat

Right now I have a cherry bomb muffler on my truck but its not loud enough. Would a high flow cat be worth investing in if I wanted louder? If so what are the chances of finding one in the $100 range? and please provide links.

It will make it louder but I wouldn't do it just for that. The factory cat has a bad rep for
clogging which in itself makes it a good reason to replace it. Not knowing what pipe diam
you have, what year your truck is, or whether you live in cali or not this is the best I can
do.

Look up your pipe diameter on this page and use the part number of the cat you need.
If you need the air port remember to use that part number.

Take that part number and enter it into the search bar of this page. These are universal
fit hi-flow and come in under $100.
Hope this helps ya.

For a 2001, yep. 2001s had a y-pipe after the manifolds to a single in/single out 3" converter.

First thing you'll notice when you get it is how much smaller the high flow cats are compared to the old cat.

Where do you live? Do you have inspections? If not, I would just gut it.

That one gives a size of 2" in and 2.5" out, would that be for a 5.2 8cyl?
