No worries man. If I asked a question, why WOULDN'T I want to listen. Regardless of the fact of it being repetitions. That would just support what someone else is saying. I ask you RESPECTFULLY, If you don't have anything to add that would help me, anything positive. Then don't say anything at all. I'm not just saying that for my thread, but ALL threads in general. Those who post threads want to fix their problem and move on. Again, I'm not saying this to be an ***, I just don't want to be side tracked. Thanks for listening.

Alright, so here's the latest. I installed the new stat (192 degree) and it's better but I don't think it's fixed. First let me say that I bought my stat from a different store just in case they had a bad order of stats. So I installed it and the temp while idling will float around 195-200 degree but it does spike from time to time to, I would say, about 205. My upper hose is hot and my lower hose is, at best, luke warm. My cooling system is still not pressurizing. I have low pressure. I notice that my radiator is cool to the touch on the passenger side but kind of hot on the driver side. Is what I just described symptoms of a plugged radiator. Has anyone else experienced low pressure in the cooling system and at times fluctuating temp gauge? Also, I thought I might mention, my truck still doesn't have any evident leaks (probably because the system doesn't have any pressure) and my truck runs great. Like it has brass *****.

You could very well be clogged up. Might try to do a flush and go from there.

I heard of people using CLR to flush out the gunk in the heater core, would that work for the radiator as well? any tips you guys can give me?

This is obviously that serious situation of a loose nut behind the wheel. I don't think there is anyway of fixing that.

Wow that's hilarious Rob!!! I've never heard that one before. Man you ARE original. That comment is Obliviously posted by a 18 year old kid with nothing better to do after school then post random comments on random threads. Lets see how it goes when you post a problem with you truck. I'll be sure to return the favor. Chime in when you have something to say worth hearing. I got an idea, how 'bout you go play Russian Roulette with a semi-automatic, that'll give you something to do.

I would just use a radiator flush, but get more than one bottle of it. Like 2 or three. I think that the capacity of our radiators require 2 bottles....

from what you describe on the radiator, it sounds normal...it should be hot on the DS and cooler on the PS, shows that the rad is doing it's job. see if autozone has a pressure tester and pump up the pressure to 15psi or so and look for a leak. napa sells a dye that you can put in the fluid to help track down a leak. I would get it and see what you can find. it could be in the cab on the top of the heater core... which would be impossible to find w/o tearing apart the dash.
