Default What tires can I fit?????

Hey guys,

I'm new to the dodge/mopar group.....I'm transfering from Chevy and actually I'm freakin stoked about this Ram I bought.

I got a 1998 Ram 2500. Dodges seem to have GREAT well clearance stock and I'm wondering if I can fit 33's sitting stock.

Is it possible to fit 33x12.5x8 on a stock 2500?

What about the 2 inch level kit for the front? Will either way allow for 33's??

Thanks,

Chop

dodge 1500,

I can really fit 35's on a stock 2500? DAMN, I really am glad I bought one of this Rams, LOL.

So what would you recommend? Will I have to trim anything or will they tuck ok? I don't off road or rock crawl. Simply just want it to look the way I want. It needs to fucntion no better then stock.

so...... I was thinking of MT Classic's 15x8 and 35x12.5x15 ??? Would that work?

Thanks again,

Chop

If you get that leveling kit on that should have no problem. What size back spacing?

Level it out ... reckon it'll be fine.

You got 15" 8-lug rims?

Acutally I'm thinking they are 16's but I like having a smaller rim and more tire. Just personal pref there, but 16's would be fine.

Do I need a specific back spacing to make it work? I don't want to cram 35's if they won't fit naturally. 33's would be fine, but my buddy has a jeep with 35's he wants off there, and the rear looks to be able to take them, but was lookat the front just eyeing them and it seemed it would be tight on the top of the tire. Thats why I was wondering about the 2 inch level kit.

Again, This trucks is just my everyday driver and I won't be doing mudding, or crawling, just tooling back n forth to work and around. I just like the look of the wells being filled up, I hate the look of a big well and not enough tire, lol....and my gawd....I should have bought a RAM before now.

It's a 98 that needs some TLC that I got from a buy here pay here lot......but....I freakin LOVE this thing

I just figured I'd ask you guys first before I hit the 4x4 shop as some of those guys don't know what they are saying unless their nifty computer tells them....so.......Was just wondering what would fit naturally but would fill in that hole above the tires

What motor do you have and what ring and pinion gears do you have?

if it's a 5.9 V-8 and 3.55 gears I'd go with the 33's for now cause it won't suck THAT much.
35s will.

If it's a V-10 or a diesel go ahead and get the leveling kid and the 35s.
