Ok I got a tb from the bone yard and I am going to do the mad on it after I cut off all lips on the sides. I want to bore it to 50mm but do I go all the way down do I stop befor the plates. I know that it is tapered now. but it has a stop on the side so I dont thank it will mess anything up if i go all the way down. someone told me that the plates were 50mm but I dont know. where do I get bigger plates if there not 50mm

just take off the buttflys and measure them your self,, i beleive when i measured mine i got about 49mm and a hair or 2,, but we are talking mm it's very close

 

Unless you want to make new plates, I'd just go down as far as the plates and stop. I also believe you are correct, I think the stock size starts at 50mm and tapers to 47mm, so if you just bore out the 47mm part, you should be OK.
