Anybody got a good way to stop lifter tick? Already tried a quart of MMO. Was thinking about running some engine flush, then some cheap oil for about 100 miles to clear the flush chemicals out, then some Mobil 1. The Royal Purple I've run for the last 10K seems to lend to a noisier engine than the Mobil 1 did.
you can run a little thicker oil to fill up the lifter so it won't collaspe as easy
but it a great time to tell your wife that you need you lifters and if your going to put new lifters in you might as well get a new cam.lol,,, but alot of the work is done.
mopar lifters are only 140dollar and i know your a pro taking and putting the intake on.

LOL! Yeah, I'm tired of taking that damn intake off. I swore to myself if it comes off again a cam is going in. Don't have the time to cam it right now, so I'll just have to hope a flushing and oil change will help.
It's also possible I'm hearing an exhaust leak and I might need to get a set of new header gaskets.
What oil filter do you run? Somone in the larger oil filter thread mentioned that his lifter tic went away after he changed his Frap filter over to the larger WIX filter.
