So I'm down to 2 choices, Dr. Evil Maximum Evil Trans or the Mega Viper Trans from PATC. My Trans now is toast, so I'm looking for something that will last at least 100K and put up with my wheeling and towing, maybe a 408 down the road. Anybody dealt with these guys? Any advise is welcomed!

I like my APS but Ron didn't have such a great experience. I wonder how his is now. I'm hesitant to recommend them as I recommended them to him and he had some issues.

 

im going with the viper transmission when mine goes. I've heard good things from 3 different transmission shops

 

cant speak from experience, i still have the original trans at 112k. but from talk around here, sounds like the viper is the way to go. very highly spoken of.

well hell, just called up Jim @ PATC and ordered up the Mega Viper with 2k stall. After talking to "Dr. Evil" then Jim, I came to the conclusion that the M. Viper is better suited for my needs. Quality parts and the guys there knew EVERYTHING about what they were selling. Can't say that about the other guy. Now the waiting begins.

 

What kind of price is he giving you? I'm looking at the same thing, I've got the 408 that will be going in soon and am in need of a tranny any way

 

Walked away @ 2979$ That included deep trans pan with drain plug, shipping, and no trade in or core charge. Not bad, it's rated for 700 hp @ the crank. Call em up

 

Dr. Evil Maximum Evil. That is the coolest transmission name ever! way cooler than powerglide or 46RE.
