i'm just trying to past on some info to help out. i was in the auto detailing business for about 5 yrs and still do some on the side for extra $$$$. being in that business we get updates on products and attend shows and that was a hot button topic. there is an over-the-counter product from dashes that worked great and stayed on for weeks without harming plastic dashes and it was a foam. i'll get the name and post it for you. you cam use a sponge to apply it but i used my hands because you can get it in to the windshield easier w/o the mess. but hey whatever works.
