My Damn Transfer Case.....
Well we pulled the old transfer case out and the whole damn housing was cracked. There were cracks on both sides right around the nipple that goes to the rear shaft....the thing was more than toast.....
I got the replacement transfer case installed but dont have the front shaft back in yet because i had to pick up a few u-joints....the others fell to pieces when they were removed....
We are having a lil bit of trouble adjusting the shift lever for the transfer case....it does't want to line up with hole in the floor and is in 2hi when it looks like it should be in 4hi....and wont go all the way up in the hole.....an there isnt any room left to go back to 4lo.....any tips on adjusting that thing?????

do you think the new t-case dimensions are different from the old, like maybe its from a jeep or something ?
you might make a plate that mounts to the t-case. and then bolt the shifter to the plate in a location that fits the hole in the floor. how much do you need to move sideways and front/back to line up with the floor.

Manuals are for people that like to read.....i dont like to read...lol....

i would have to disagree, manuals are for people who want to maintain/repair their vehicles properly. what if you needed to torque something, and you didn't know the torque, so you just "cranked" it...when in fact, the torque needed to be something higher. you just screwed yourself.
I was just joking on the manuals comment.....i have tried to locate a service manual for cheap with very little luck lately.....sometimes its easier to ask for a simple answer to a fairly simple question......than to pay $50 bucks for the book.....
