Ok. Then I don't think I have a leak, escpecially since I don't use any oil, and my power has never been better. I think what I see is actaully some debris from the first time I tried to clean my TB (back when I first got my pickup). I did not remove it from the intake (I know better now), so the intake/carb cleaner dripped straight down, making the splatter pattern I see today. It is dry all around that splatter pattern right up to the edges, so I think my plenum gasket is fine.

Any ideas how to clean up the splatter I see. I had someone else tell me to stick the nozzle of a shop vac down the intake (with the TB off), and just gently suck up that debris. I definetly don't want to try to wipe it up or do something that would make it loose. Any thoughts.

Thanks.

how long has it been there? I wouldnt worry about it. But if you must clean it up, you'll have to at least take the TB off to get good access to it. but me personally, i'd leave it.

this being said after having part of my K&N intake tube sucked into the manifold and into my #2 cylinder. worst thing it did was smash my plug ground and cause a mis-fire... blew it all out pretty quickly.

If it got there the way I described (pretty sure it was), then it has been there between 1-2 years. I probably won't mess with it unless I notice issues, or if I happen to have my TB off again.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it right.

Thanks.

where do you get the 7x9 filter? would it be a good idea to use it on the 5.2? and was there enough room in the compartment to fit the bigger filter in?

I agree, if it's been there that long, it'll be there the next time you take the manifold off to.

depends on your truck, lighter yes, heavier maybe not, maybe too big and it might loose too much on the low end, but it'll make the most HP
