Questions about intakes and programmers
Just a note of caution, If you order a trans on-line most will warranty it. Here is the thing you will have to pay a local shop to put it in, or do it yourself. Then if something goes wrong you will have to pay a local shop to take it out or take it out yourself an pay to have it shipped back to where you bought it from. Then pay to have it shipped back to you. Sounds like a lot of running around and a lot of downtime for the truck. I suggest finding a local shop and check there references and have them do it. Then if you have a problem they will do all of the removal and repair and reinstall at no charge. I am sure the Trans on-line is cheaper but take this into account and make the decision that is right for you.
hey i got a rebuild kit for the tranny and my dad is rebuilding it and hes been a mechanic for dodge for 27 years so got it good there and me and a buddy are pullin it out
hey's what I did (motor wise) all very easy to install
14x3 round air filter (don't waste $300 for Cold air)
fastman 52mm TB
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers 1.7:1
Superchips tuner (SCT is for major modes)
EBC Slotted and dimped rotors up front w/EBC "Green Stuff" pads
Flowmaster 40 series muffler
If I can stress doing any mod the most.. it would be the fastman 52mm TB and HS Roller Rockers/14x3 Round air filter... you will be blown away by the performance gains.

cool man i appreciate the info and the picks i have another question for you and i know i may seem like im asking stupid questions but i never have opened this motor up to change anything to after market stuff but could i put a set of chromoly(not sure how its spelt) push rods in while the rocker arms are off or do you have to have the intake off to do that i dont remember if the intake has to be off
you can pull the rods right out after the stock rockers/clips are taken out... just be very carefull not to drop any of them because you'll have to take the whole top end off to get to them
