Default abs(no,not 7 min)

ive asked this question before but got no response.ill try rephrasing...
my option sheet shows rear wheel antilock.i have an abs light that lights up when i start my truck.when i spike the brakes on slick roads(ice, snow covered)all the tires lock up.
maybe theres something wrong with the abs,or are they supposed to lock up?

I have '99, and now that you mention it, I have the same thing. I have an ABS light on startup, but do not appear to have rear wheel antilock. Maybe the ABS light means something else (Air Bag System, After Burner System, Always Beats Silverados, Ample Bed Space, etc...).

Beats me.

ABS isn't suppose to keep your brakes from locking up in all conditions. It is just to help in light to moderate slick conditions. On ice and snow if you jam the brakes, you will lock up. But normal application of the brakes, they will not lock up as easily.

its gotta be the anti lock brakes.my wifes caravan has the same light.hers malfunctioned, the light stayed on,and when it was fixed,it was normal again.although,i do like the after burner system.where can i get one?and will it work with the color green.
on a side note...ive owned several vehicles with abs and you definently hear the abs working when spiking brakes on slippery surfaces.maybe thats all wheel antilock.
who knows

I have an 01 off raod and I noticed the same thing. When I first hit the brakes I can feel the abs working but then it's like it stops. I should have the 4-wheel abs as well but I don't know.???
