Default loss of power

I recently changed the spark plugs and plug wires in my 2000 5.2L 4x4 Dodge Ram Sport and now I am noticing a destinct power loss, both at high and low rpms. Used champion platinum plugs and MSD Super Conductor wires. Also changed the tranny filter and fluid but I don't think that had anything to do with it.

In addition to the lack of power, mixed driving I was averaging about 340 miles to a tank and now I'm luck to get 280 to a tank.

Any ideas

Thanks
Dan

I was reading on here somewhere yesterday, that certain plug wires touching each other can cause that problem.

+1 for the reroute of the wires. TSB 18-48-98.

I know it only says to 1999 model year trucks, but I'd do it anyway.

damn, lol.

I know for my year they changed the gap to .040 so you might wanna check to see if they changed that for your year too ( i dont think so) but just throwing it out there. That though, wouldnt make that big of a difference.

You should have gone with a regular Champion plug or the Champion truck plugs. There are mixed opinions, but for the most part these motors don't like anything different.
