Is there a DIY? Whats a CEL? Is it a trouble code? I have been thinking for doing it with the warmer weather on the way. My grandfather said in the winter I will miss the 195. He is a mechanic.

I'm no where near CA. I ended up getting the 180. It was the highest summit had in that brand that qualified for waving the 11.95 handling fee).

"CEL" is Check engine Light. As for which T-stat that is like asking paper or plastic. It is personal preferance. As for a DIY for the t-stat there are just 2 bolts that hold it down. Just make sure you drain a little Antifreeze and clean the old gaskett off completely.
