It may be redundant, but it is probably the easiest way to go. No messing with having to run dual cat's, not messing with dual o2 sensors etc. I've also come to wonder if there really is a benifit to going true duals with a balance pipe anyway. You still create an h pattern with the exhaust either way.

the h in "true duals" help to scavenge the exhaust.....in the fake duals, youre just disrupting flow very badly
