while we're on the headlight subject is it possible to just put a battery wire from a toggle switch to a relay and then to the headlights to use temporarily??

 

the headlight curcuit is controlled with a switched ground. it also goes through many relays and switches. i suppose if you spliced in right at the headlight relay and jumped it, you could use a toggle, but it sounds like a bit of a hack job

 

I'm thinkin of groundin the ground wire comin out from the light and then runnin just the low beams to a relay then battery then put in a switch wouldn't that just make my headlights like a big foglight and this will only be temporary

The bolt pattern for the seats are the same. The electrical is a pain. If you have nothing to do great. Otherwise....why would you want a wrecked steering bos???
