1999 dodge ram gearing ratio
600 bucks is a lot and I had to do it with Tax money but it is definetley worth it. Also if you plan on keeping the truck a while and plan on towing you may end up having to do the Plenum again. Once you do it once you will not really want to do it again. As far as what else, I read earlier that you already did the plugs and wires so change out that cap and rotor, also you could do a CAI or a Fastman Dan TB, change out your O2 sensor and a 180 Therm. That is what I did, it took a weekend to get it done. Once your done always get the flashpaq probably the best bang for my buck yet. Good luck and be prepared to dig deep, it's all a matter of how bad do you want it and can you afford it.
yea i see the bolts now, but i dont see the gasket do i have to buy that seperate? and if i get the o2 sensor do i need 2 or what because it says LF and RF on the sensor that fits my truck
How did you determine you had a torn gasket? Seemed like you just assumed you had a truck that was flashed, so just asking.
Factory truck doesn't have huge amounts of power, and 32's are slightly larger then stock, which could throw off your speedo slightly, to make you think it's going slower then it actually is.
Again, if your plenum is shot, you probably are in need of the hughes kit or other, but figured I'd ask.

^ He followed the DIY on checking it to see if it was leaking.
Matt, this was taken directly from that link I gave you: This kit will replace the plenum plate with a one piece, high strength, 1/4" thick aluminum plate. It is supplied with all new, Grade 8 fasteners, new plenum gasket and detailed instructions. No factory fasteners are reused.

okay so my plan is that im going to get the Hughes kit on thursday, payday, and i had questions about what else i should get for it, what to replace while i had it all out, like the o2 sensors im confused about what to get on those, and i was curious about thermostats to, do they make 160 degree thermostates for these trucks, and if they do is it worth it or is the 180 the one i want?
They make a 160 stat for our trucks, but...... they almost always throw a CEL. some of the time the 180 will do it too. being in IL, you prolly need to do the same thing I do. I put in a 180 for the summer, and 195 for the winter.
Be careful of which stat you get. in house brands are known for being bad out of the box. Fail safe is usually a better route to go.
EDIT: O2 sensors can be change any time, they are underneath your truck....
