All 318's back into the 70's were externally ballanced. the flexplate will work. and any converter will work that is new. A used converter from a 360 will have a weight welded on to it for balanceing. You could use one of thoes you will just have to knock the weight off.

Heads are tapped, portmatched, and ready to go to the buddys house. He will flatten the heads if they are not flat enough, then order my valve springs, do any required machine work to the spring seat, then set the spring pressures. Three angle valve job and a basic bowl port. Bearings were ordered and should be here by wednesday. I took the plastic wheel well out today because we were at a stand sill. I removed any and all rust from the seams under there and coated everything with epoxy preprime. Then it will get a primer then paint. The seam areas and wear areas will get a heavy coat of ruberised undercoating.

LOOK AT THIS SPOT on your truck. I took an air hose and blew out sooooooo much wet crap form in here. If let go this spot will rust out.( behind the front wheel- bottom fornt edge of door area)

Well bro finished putting all of the pistons in today. All clearances checked out and documented. Friday or saturday I will be taking my new heads to the head guy for the work I mentioned above. There is a tight spot on one of the cam bearings so we cant do much untill Friday, we are going to take my motor over there so he can work over that spot on the bearing for us.

Yes I wil post some videos. Got to warn you though. I bought the flowtech raptor turbo mufflers (no cat of corse) I want this thing to be fairly quiet. I dont want it to be an annoance when driving. It will sound different just because of the engine and the headers. stock (or close) size tires and no lift (sorry guys) this truck will be a little bit of a "sleeper"
