Well I talked to krc and my cam is not bad after all. I thougth that if it got dropped during sipping that it could have been tweeked. But it seems to be my cam bearing is bad. My engine builder (bro) Is out of town on work again this week and then vacation next so it will be slow going. Talked to my head guy and he is going to do a 3 angle vaulve job, buy the correct springs, set the spring preassure, deack the heads if they are not flat enough, and any pocket work that needs to be done for the spirngs, magnafulx, for 235 or less. And he might do some port work.

jbomb, got a question for ya.

The engine shop is done building the short block for me, i will be picking it up tomorrow. Looks sweet. The machinist said i would have to get a neutral harmonic balancer and flywheel because the crankshaft is balanced internally.

I got a neutral harmonic balancer for 80 bucks at my speed shop, but they didnt have any solutions for the fly wheel. my flywheel was welded onto the torque converter (there was an adapter plate with weights attached to the crankshaft output shaft). They mentioned mopar performance but i was just curious if you got that far, or what you were planning on using/doing for the flywheel.

Thanks.

360s are externally ballanced 318s are internally balanced you will need a flywheel off an older 318 or a new magnum 5.2

jbomb, can you define older?

if i were to order a flexplate and torque converter for a 99 dakota with a 318, would that work? Does the dakotas use the same tranny? Or should i stick with 318's outta a 1500? The other solution is to bring to a transmission shop and have them re-balance/un-balance it. (i've had a lot of bad luck with transmission shops, not sure if i want to go down that road again).

The problem i have run into is that there are few options for our transmissions. I believe i have a 46RE.

Thanks.
