Flexible exhaust pipes
Any one use the walker flexible exhaust pipes? Just wondering if they are decent or not. I am going to take off my muffler and just run some straight pipe out before the passenger tire. Anyone have any audio clips of a single straight pipe with stock cat. Let me know!
Really shouldn't run that stuff. My experience is that it's leak prone, rusts quickly, and is not very strong. The bends don't always stay in place either. You'd be better off buying some straight pipe and an elbow.
Lastlly, its design inhibits performance. The ribbed interior sets up turbulence in the pipes which causes restriction. But if you only want noise, you'll be happy.

a little off subject, the CAT tractor has a 4 foot piece of flexible exhaust pipe on it
that's what makes up most of the exhaust system other than a 45 degree elbow off the turbo, 3 band clamps, and a 600 dollar muffler

you can get a straight piece pipe pretty cheap and a good muffler shop will bend it, cut it and flare it for you for like 20 bucks then you just have to clamp it on. mine has a y pipe in place of the muffler. the muffler shop charged me 40 bucks to make the y pipe to match the end of a 40 series flowmaster so when i got there to pick it up it was a direct fit for my dual exhaust. and straight pipes with a stock cat sound really good on our trucks.

Alright guys thanks for the info, what size pipe should I use? I was thinking
2 1/2 inch from the cat back. I just want to keep a single pipe with a 4 inch tip coming out before the rear passenger tire. Any suggestions or comments?
