Xray99,go to my private pictures and look at my album, that's the parts transmission that I used to change the harness with.Note it is out of the vehicle but it can be done with the transmission still in the vehicle,Believe me this is alot better then removing the whole valve body the hardest part of it is pushing in on the spring when you reinstall the part of the valve body.If you have any questions you know how to reach me.I didn't think it could be done either but when I had a better look at it I figured it was worth a try.

Dude, the things on the bench, those pics do nothing to prove your point.

It cannot be done without dropping it, you are giving flawed advice.

The end of the wiring harness, that has the connector which connects it to the main harness, is screwed in with 3 screws, and there is no way to get to those screws without dropping the valve body.

Heres a view from the top, something you obviously won't see until you drop it and take it out.
You can see the connector, you can't really see the 3 black screws but trust me, they are there.
This butts right up against the top of the inside of the tranny housing, which has a little hole just for this connector.
So tell me, how are you going to access those screws with it still installed ?

I know it's on the bench,I told you that was the one I got the parts out of,the one I put the parts in was in the truck,If you want I'll take pictures of the one in the truck,so don't tell me my pictures are flawed or I don't know what I'm talking about I'm not on here to argue or fight with you or anybody else.So could you please tell me which 3 bolts you are referring to?I know you said you can't see them in the picture, there was only one bolt holding the connector to the top of the valve body on the truck I was working on.If you lived near me I could physicaly show you what I mean or otherwise I wouldn't be trying to prove it to you on here.If I could prove it to you I wouldn't take your $50 anyways.I'm not about that.

Don't get hyped up holms.
Anyone will get called out when someone considers bad advice is given, in this case it doesn't really matter.
Not like bad torque specs or something.
If anyone wants to waste their time trying to get the internal harness out without dropping the valve body, go for it.
Just a matter if it takes them 10 minutes or 2 hours to figure out it ain't happening - Took me about 15 minutes.

By the way hj, didn't mean to come off as rude/arrogant.
Maybe I lack a bit on tact sometimes, you are entitled to your opinion and to post what you want as well as anyone else.
Not trying to punk ya at all, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, perhaps others can chime in, pro or con, and shed some light on this.

As it stands, I'd bet 50 to 1 it can't be done.

I have been doing alot of reading and next month plan on going through some mods on my truck (2001 1500 4x4 with the 360) is this the part (@K22954C Governor sensor and lockup od solenoids for $134.)I want for my tranny? I am also going to delete the valve and add the external filter, drain plug, is there anything else while I am in there? Maybe the sonnex cure all. The truck runs fine but I have issues with what seems like slipping shifts or soft shifts at times, also am going to clean the TB and do the plenium maybe kegger
Thanks

Xray99 I understand where you're coming from and I wasn't trying to make you out to be a Mr. know-it all or I wasn't trying to say that you didn't know what you were doing.Maybe we're talking about a different part or a different type of transmission altogether. Some of the pictures on here can be hard to see anything, and like I said we could be talking about 2 different things altogether. The only way some people can understand what each other are meaning is if you can show each other in person lol.I apologize if you thought I was getting hyped up or I was trying to show you up.I was just trying to make your job and everyone else's job easier if anyone ever had to change out those parts again.Believe me it isn't any fun crawling around under a vehicle when you're in a hurry and have to have it the next day.I wasn't about making any money.Who knows maybe you might have a secret about something on a Dodge that everyone else doesn't know about.

I doubt if we are talking about 2 different things, there is only 1 internal tranny harness for 2nd gen trucks AFAIK.
I say it won't come out without a VB drop, you say it will.
I guess we'll leave it at that, no harm in trying to do it but some things just ain't possible.
