Default Parts list

Can someone point me in the direction of the needed parts?

I have a mechanic friend willing to install them for free if I can order the parts for him.

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram turbo diesel w/ the cummings 5.9l engine.

I'm assuming it's the standard 47RH/RE tranny in there.

I've gone to several of the major auto parts stores sites and for a solenoid I find 2 different looking parts on them so I don't know which ones to order

On This Page, you want number 415, and 432. It will give you a number of choices, you want NEW, NOT reman parts, With the D prefix if possible. There is a legend that you can mouse over in the upper right side of the page for the individual parts, (oddly enough, it says "Part # Legend".....)

Ill check with WIT on Tuesday but I "think" the A12432A is the borg warner solenoid. Great solenoid, I have been using it in my stock rebuilds instead of the expensive GM conversion solenoid.

If you still have the check valve in the hot line to the trans cooler in the radiator, time to make it go away. DIY in the faq section for doing it.

good to see this thread and a couple guys posting it in! i was having some slipping from 1st to 2nd so i took it to a reputable mom and pop tranny shop and they said that the governor sensor is shot. $400ish parts and labor to replace.

now of course they said if they drop the pan and see a bunch of junk in there, its time for a rebuild
