$400 ? You can replace them yourself. The solenoid and switch are just on the other side of the filter.

well yeah but of course they gotta get their $80/hr labor

parts still gonna be what $150ish?

Make sure the year is right, the solenoid is the same, but the switch/transducer is different.

from WIT, there are 2 transducers that fit my 99, both with the same description (different part number) but $24 difference?

Get the more expensive one. If memory serves me, the "R" in front of the # means it's rebuilt.

that would make sense. is anything else needed besides the solenoid and transducer?

Tools, ATF +4, and a filter(WIX). If it still has the OEM pan gasket, It is reusable. (and better than the one that comes with the filter). 13 ft pounds on the pan bolts. Recheck in a day or so. You should get a drain plug for the pan btw.

yeah me and the guy across the street noticed last week when we put my y-pipe in that i got a small leak around the tranny pan. and also there was no drain plug. so for sure have to do those whilst under there.
