I think hughes sent him the one I have.
I'd ask for the newer model. I think Hughes customer service is getting pretty crappy as of late. I'll probably not be doing much business with them anymore.

i dont think its not the newer model. because in my instructions packet, the front page says the installation pictures show a different TB adaptor than included, since the pictures the tb adaptor has been updated, and the tb adaptor in the pictures is the wide open one
I just got off the Phone with Hughes and they told me that the split was the new design and that they are trying to improve the low end. As for the one that I have that is wide open it is a mopar performance piece that was adapted. So you guy's have the new model. Also I informed Hughes about our little chats and invited them in to give us some Tech support like Superchips does. Lets see if they take me up on it.

Since you can show them your thread with a review that probably led to some sales for them, they should be sending you the new adaptor.

See, this is exactly what I've been griping about. Hughes told you something you wanted to hear and you now feel as thought you got a deal! I'd ask them to produce some numbers, or send you the one they're advertising.
I've had several dealings with them in the last year that have made me feel less than appreciated:
The Iron Ram heads they sell are cast Engine Quest heads. On their website they make appear they are a little more than that. It isn't until you pay over $1300 that you are getting any type of performance upgrade over the bare EQ casting. I got the exact same heads at Clearwater Cylinder head for $750 a pair that Hughes wanted $1024 for.
I ordered pushrods from them that were supposed to be stock length AND hardened. At the time, they told me they had only 8 that were the stock style and 12 from an off lot that were the correct length and would work, but the ball end was shaped differently. I elected to wait for the correct set and re-emphasized stock length, HARDENED. Two weeks later they sent me the stockers, unhardened. I had no choice but to slap them in and go as the time I had allotted for working on my DD had arrived.
That's my beef, YMMV.
