so i just traded my 68 T/A project car for an 01 ram 5.9l. im looking at doing some upgrades to it. im not to familiar with dodges however esp these engines. obvisouly exhaust, intake, and throttle body are a good start but what do these engines respond well too? what sytems work best? its bone stock with 84,000 miles, 2wd...

everyone says that the 1.7 roller rockers are the bomb if youre not wantin to tear into it and stroke it or cam it.... is this gonna be used for towin or what?

 

i do plan on doing some towing with it, but overall im just looking for somemore horses as a DD. i dont plan on doing anything to involved like heads or cam.

 

Look at my signature I have done those mod's to my 5.9 and I use the truck as a daily driver. The truck has a lot of power but I do plan on getting the HS 1.7 rockers, that will probably be the final thing I do to upgrade the enigine. Everyone that has them loves them. It is time to do some appearance mods and new gears.

 

yea, 1.7 RR are the bomb if you want a hole in your wallet.

 

Yeah well, You have to have a fat wallet if you want to do anything to these trucks.
