Default need help on Dual Exhaust

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Ext Cab. I'm wondering what is my best bet for a dual exhaust. I want it pretty loud but not overly loud. Any suggestions??

2.25" duals (the pipes themselves, not necessarily the tips) will keep your low end and look good. 2.5" duals maybe if you plan on doing a lot of bolt-ons or more, but on a mostly stock engine your low end will suffer slightly.

Flowmaster Super 44 is what I use. Loud, if I romp on it in the morning, it wakes up all my neighbors in the apartment complexes on both sides of me. However, if I stay off of it and feather it, you can barely hear it from the front.

Some like the Super 40, which is kind of a slightly toned down 44. Slightly different sound as well.

Magnaflow isn't bad, a little quieter but not to quiet.

I resently put my exhaust on as well i'm currently running 2.5 With 4in tips on a super44 it rumbles pretty good and at about 2000RMps make the cabin pretty loud but otherwise not too loud at all. i highly recommend the super 44.

Check out Pypes. They have the cheapest all-stainless cat back on the market. Check out my thread with sound clips:

I bought mine from Jegs for under 400 bucks.

I am a big fan of both Flowmaster and Magnaflow, but I just recently switched over to Magnaflow and I don't see myself going back.

If I could do it all over again I would go with a Cherrybomb Vortex.

Wanna save some money Cherry Bombs are back out again with a few new mufflers, and the regular old ones wake up the neighbourhood when I fire up my 72 ChevyLOL Went old school on that. But you can get Cherry Bomb Vortecs that are a few bucks more give you more of a magnaflow/mustangy/growl. For the price difference or if you are dollar conscious. I had to be on the chevy it was getting out of hand, when I found out I had to replace the frame that wasn't fun but it worked out good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LypfF...eature=related this is a link to a you tube movie that is a hemi with cherrybomb exhaust. My chevy is loud inside but the exhaust turns down just past the cab, I am gonna put it out the side with a bit of a larger pipe on it. I don't have video of it I should.
