the locks don't work with the door open or with the lights on if you have the key in the ignition, but the windows should. i think the switches or the motor were just wet and had to dry out before they would work.

i went into a hole one time and felt the drop from dry dirt into the mud and the motor bogged down a little all the way across, then coming back through i slammed into the dry stuff and it stopped my truck cold. the brush guard that goes below the bumper really kills your approach angle. so i got some experience on digging a ramp that wasn't too steep for my truck to get out.

I ended up having to take my drivers side door panel off to fix the window switch. A grain of sand got wedged in the switch so the window was stuck up.

I got pulled over by a state trooper the next night and it made him VERY nervous when I wouldn't put the drivers window down.

He pulled me over because both my license plate lights were out. They must have shorted out when the bumper got submerged

Wow what an interesting couple of nights. First I get a $50 fine from the DNR at the state park (long story), next morning I go and bury my truck in a puddle (the whole reason for going out there was to relieve my anger from the night before), and now I have an R and R ticket I need to take care of. Haha life is good!

Yeah, hes right about the speed. If ya get scared before you go in, your not going to make the best decisions. I should know cause I have gotten stuck at least 30 times, bad.
I was only running 33's at the time and I was going in trails guys on 35's and 38's were getting stuck. Even though there were some crazy places i got my self into, it was an adventure getting out. One time me and a buddy got a little drunk and woke up with tad poles in the floorboard. I guess we tryed to get out the night before and gave up. Got out of the truck and the roof was chest high when standing on solid ground. A friend with a Dodge V10 4x4 with 38's pulled us out. Oh Ive broken 2 comealongs. So dont get down on your self if ya get stuck, its going to happen. The more ya ride off road the better ya get.

Heres some advice. Put your ***** back where they belong and go muddin. So what if u get stuck I have. U know that skid plate I have had my truck sitting on it. I was alone and got my self out. I used sticks and long to pack under the tires. That was with highway tires. So go out and have fun!!

Ps test the water yr self. Or look at him while he is walking in it!

This truck is my daily driver (50 miles a day usually) and I use it a lot on the farm I work at pulling trailers/hauling feed bags. I also use it on the weekends hauling snowmobiles and quads around. The last thing I need is for something major to go wrong, cause then I would be stuck driving a little mazda 626 around .

I'd give it about a month...or until I get bored again.

I guess I need to find some actual mud. The only thing that scares me about this kind of stuff is all the problems that go along with water. I don't really care if I get stuck in some mud, but water can do a lot more damage.
